Trying to be everything to everyone is exhausting. And honestly… it’s really not that effective. If your content is getting polite claps instead of real connection, it might be time to niche down.
In this session, we’re joined by Phoebe Parke, who’s here to bust the myth that niching means losing your personality. Spoiler: it’s actually the fastest way to grow an audience that gets you and sticks around for the long haul.
We’ll chat about how to choose a niche without feeling boxed in, why specificity is your best friend on social right now, and how to turn casual lurkers into loyal superfans (the kind who’ll buy anything you put out).
Phoebe Parke is a social media coach who helps creative people build their personal brands on social media so they get paid more.
A natural-born storyteller, Phoebe began her career as a journalist at CNN International, where she was selected to lead CNN Africa’s social media strategy.
She later served as Head of Social Media for Grazia Magazine (2017–2022), transforming the brand’s digital presence, launching innovative social-first campaigns and earning a BSME award for her work.
Then, for three years she worked as Head of Social Media at Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, bringing the celebrity chef’s U.K. locations into the spotlight. Now, she coaches creative people, helping them build their personal brands so they stand out and get the recognition they deserve
Phoebe has grown a loyal online following, partnering with Adobe, Instagram and the Chartered Institute of Marketing as a content creator in her own right. When she’s not working, she’s set herself a personal mission to try every single Pilates class in London, yes really.
