DESCRIPTION:Our Marketing Campfire Series is a welcoming space where marketers from various backgrounds come together to share stories\, tackle challenges\, and spark meaningful conversations. \nWhether you’re new to the industry\, navigating mid-level challenges\, running your own freelance business\, or working in a B2B or in-house team\, there will be a session tailored just for you. \nEach session will be hosted and facilitated by a dedicated member of the Girls in Marketing membership. These sessions are held regularly\, and you’re welcome to join as many as you’d like. We recommend attending the ones you relate the most to. \nThis session is our Mid-Level Marketers’ Campfire – for those growing their expertise and leadership skills. \nExplore challenges like managing campaigns\, stepping into strategy roles\, or finding your voice as a marketer. Share lessons learned and gain support from others at a similar stage. \nHosted by Courtney Alves and Abby Dickinson. \nAbout Courtney and Abby:\nCourtney Alves is a Copywriter and social-first marketer at CNS Media and its creative arm\, Fork The Waffle\, where she helps brands turn insight-led strategy into scroll-stopping content. Recently\, she’s dived headfirst into the world of UGC\, managing creator-led content across both organic and paid social. With eight years’ experience across agency and client side\, Courtney has worked with brands including Grape Tree\, Jam Shed\, and Echo Falls and now leads the agency’s own social presence. When she’s not shaping content strategies\, you’ll usually find her in the gym or planning her next trip! \nAbigail joined Orca Scan as ‘Content Marketing Manager’ in 2021 after four years as a ‘Digital Innovator’ in the Welsh public sector. Over the last three years\, she has passed through the role of ‘Marketing Manager’\, and in 2024\, she became Head of Marketing\, taking responsibility for creating and delivering the company’s strategic marketing initiatives and managing the entire marketing team. Abigail has a BA in Journalism\, an MA in Marketing and Digital Communication\, and two cocker spaniels named Poppy and Audrey.
