Having recently completed the acquisition of King Street Townhouse, Great John Street Hotel & 100 King Street, which along with Hale Health & Country Club form our newly found THG Experiences division, we are now looking for a Social Media Lead to live and breathe our THG ethos as it evolves into a global phenomenon.

We’re focused on creating ideas powered by people, not platforms – we are a team of brand thinkers who know that as traditional models of advertising continue to be under threat, social media’s importance in the broader marketing mix becomes ever more significant. We’re not looking for a Social “Guru”, “Ninja” or other made-up title. We want someone who genuinely gets the space and understands the way it works. We want THG Experiences and our portfolio of properties to be embedded in culture naturally and in an authentic and credible way, not forcing our way into everyone’s feeds.

We’re looking for a progressive thinker, who really understands social and channel strategy – so can help us evolve and push our social presence to the next level.

  • Put our content strategy into action through innovation and social platform best practices
  • Be on the pulse of emerging platforms and content trends
  • Use real-time data to inform operational decisions
  • Key to the creative content process, from ideation to publishing
  • Develop and deliver long and short-term social media campaigns and initiatives
  • Manage real-time and planned social media output across a variety of retail activations, events or campaign planned location shoots
  • Lead on two-way communication between client accounts and its audience (B2B and B2C)
  • Researching and reporting for internal and external requirements


  • At least 5 years’ experience working in a social media content role
  • First-class editorial judgement
  • A creative thinker – proven track record in delivering creative solutions to business problems
  • Experience of using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro, particularly around optimising content for social platforms
  • An analytical mind with a hunger for driving business results and helping to guide content strategy
  • Ability to elevate their thinking beyond activation and understand bigger creative ideas
  • Passion for wider communications/marketing trends and culture as a whole
  • Must have a good understanding in the power of social media
  • Confident enough to speak up, challenge and ask why (a lot)
  • Collaborative with a passion for delivering industry defining work
  • Someone who loves to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
