HOURS: Full-time

LOCATION: London Office & Remote Working – Optional! (1 day in the office minimum per week)

SALARY: Starting at £22,000 to £25,000 PA

Over the past 7 years we built Orbis from a start-up based in the back of a friend’s office – to where we are now, an international multi-brand staffing business that we’re incredibly proud of.

Orbis is a recruitment business consisting of contingency permanent / contract recruitment, consultancy, and executive search.

Haven’t worked in recruitment before? – We enable people to find jobs they love, and we help businesses find the best talent in the market to join their teams.

We currently cover London, Europe and USA. Our offices are based in London, New York and Nashville – with more opening soon!

Our current team of consultants work across various industries including tech, financial services and some commercial brands within their software engineering, design, product, data, business, and security teams.

Our community and target audience are a friendly group of tech enthusiasts, engineers, designers and leaders from all walks in life in various stages of their careers.

What you’ll do and a summary of the Marketing Assistant role: 

  • You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure our calendar has a consistent flow of content and events.
  • Day to day you’ll maintain our social media channels, post social media updates and focus on increasing social media engagement.
  • We’ll be looking for your contribution of creative ideas and support.
  • There’ll be a spot of copywriting and lots of proof-reading.
  • You’ll also be assisting with event management, distributing promotional campaigns, and growing our community.
  • Optimising, publishing and policing job adverts on our website and job boards.
  • Using brand templates – you’ll put together client presentations, pitch decks, business proposals and various social graphics.
  • Create monthly company newsletters.
  • Research market trends, competitor analyses and other relevant information for market intel reports and building strategies.
  • Collect data and social metrics for internal marketing reports.
  • Administrative changes to websites and basic website maintenance.

Who we’re looking for: 

A motivated quick learner who wants to dive in and get sh*t done. A degree wouldn’t be necessary (in true Orbis fashion) but demonstrative experience and skills in strong organisation, professional communications, working collaboratively as part of a team and a passion for social media/blogging/events are a must.

Experience within tech or recruitment is a bonus, but not essential.

Your Career

When you join our team, you will be given a bespoke onboarding plan to support you in your first few months with the business. You will receive both internal and external training, plus you’ll be given the latest technology and tools to really succeed. You will be working with our Marketing Manager to extend our marketing, brand, and events as part of our company scale-up strategy, we’ve got big, exciting plans for our future. Everyone in the business is given a clear progression plan that is built around their own passions and goals.
