Social media manager

Ecotone UK is a sustainable FMCG company, focused on food (and drink) for biodiversity. Within the Ecotone portfolio is Whole Earth, Clipper, and Kallø, of which you’ll be managing the Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok channels for.

The purpose of the job is to identify and lead opportunities for continuous improvement within social media, and to work with the brand team to execute strategies and content creation in order to drive long-term sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and own execution for organic and paid social channels.
  • Drive the continued growth of all social media channels by developing engaging content and building a social community.
  • Build and own social content plan including day-to-day management of social media channels, including scheduling posts.
  • Responsible for writing, editing, and curating original and engaging content.
  • Collaborate with various departments and partners to ensure the delivery of best-in-class social content.
  • Set social media KPIs, objectives and goals.
  • Take a data-led approach to social media and oversee the use of social monitoring tools to gain consumer insights, identify trends, and target influencers.
  • Research competitors and regularly report on benchmarking
  • Own governance and management of the social media budget
  • Be creative, staying ahead of the curve with an understanding of emerging social media trends.
  • Oversee social media reporting, sharing detailed reports with senior stakeholders across the business monthly and quarterly.

  • Have a passion for social media and demonstrate an understanding of current and future trends
  • Be consumer focused, ready and willing to put customers at the heart of the work they do
  • Be driven by sustainability and ethical business practices, understanding the mindset of our key consumers
  • Be able to work as part of a cross functional team internally and externally with agencies
  • Be a self-starter with a proactive approach to seeking continuous improvements
  • Work as a team player as well as work autonomously when required
  • Have strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions quickly
  • Be confident when interpreting social media research and data
  • Have strong creative content development and copy writing skills
  • Be a creative thinker and doer, bringing the brand persona’s to life online
  • Have the confidence to challenge internal, and outdated, thinking – allowing us to be brave on social media and make a mark
  • Be able to flex their tone of voice and personality to fit various brands
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly and influence internal stakeholders who are less familiar with social media trends and functionality
