September feels like the right time to go back to school, right? No matter how long we’ve been out of education, September rolls around and it feels like a fresh start and an opportunity to learn something new.

But what about re-learning things we already know? Or brushing up on the basics that we never really fully covered while juggling everything else?

This September we’re taking you back to the drawing board with a webinar series designed to refresh your knowledge of some of the fundamentals of marketing.

The three-part webinar series will help you hit reset, sharpen your skills, and feel more confident in your day-to-day marketing. We’ll cover the essentials — copywriting, strategy, and design, without the jargon, so you can take a brief step back from the ‘doing’ and remind yourself of the foundations that really matter.

In this third and final session, we’re covering the basics of strategy! If you’ve ever felt like you’re throwing tactics at the wall to see what sticks, this one’s for you. We’ll break down what makes a solid marketing strategy (without the 50-page PowerPoint).

Millie Allen is the Head of Marketing for B-Corp scale-up, Ocean Bottle. Her background includes global roles in consumer brands Brompton Bicycles, ghd Hair, and Cotswold Outdoor.
Passionate about sustainability and driving business impact, Millie has led high-growth and mature brands looking to scale and disrupt their categories. Experienced in global expansions, Millie specialises in insight-led marketing & brand strategies to support brand growth and customer acquisition. Millie also acts as a mentor for Girls in Marketing, supporting early and mid-stage marketers as they navigate their professional development and the industry.

Francesca Lepe is a marketing strategist with over 10 years’ experience spanning pharma, healthcare, research, and tech. Specialising in content, social media, and product marketing, she’s led campaigns, launched products, and built communities that drive real results. She’s also the founder of Essex Mums Brunch Club and teaches others how to create meaningful events that connect people. Francesca blends practical insight with creative execution — stripping away the noise to focus on what actually works.
